The Old Bakery Truro presents it's second Rock Night as part of Independent Venue week 2018. Feb 3rd sees some of the South West's finest rock and metal talent doing what they do best; play live!
Headlining the night are Moriaty, a blues indie rock duo with a big sound and abnormal amounts of energy. Muse, Seasick Steve and Radiohead are big fans of the Devilish Devonian Dilettantes and Moriaty finally returned after 2016's Pure Filth EP, with the follow up to their debut album 'The Devil's Child'. New songs, new guitars, new sounds, but the same Beef that will make you curse yourself for forgetting the mustard! The gruesome twosome are back!"
GODSTONE are described as a "heavy as hell band with a funky undertow" by CornwallLive. Godstone are the 5 piece powerhouse that draw influences from the likes of Killswitch Engage, Alter Bridge and Shinedown to create their own intense, melodic and heavy sound.
After a successful first year in 2017 with festival appearances and recording their debut EP with producer John Cornfield (Out February '18) and with huge plans for 2018, Godstone are fast becoming a force to be reckoned with in the UK rock/Metal scene.
Kicking the doors off to open the night are Hypophora - a fierce and quirky female fronted Alt Rock/Post Hardcore outfit with a chaotic live show and an infatuation for blending genres. "A barrage of rock, hardcore, punk and funk influences."
2017 saw Hypophora support the likes of He Is Legend, Kurt Travis, VANT as well as slots at UK Tech-Fest and Boardmasters.
2018 sees Hypophora recording their debut album at the prestigious Middle Farm Studios.
