GUEST MC ABI CLARKE
Abi Clarke is a stand-up comedian based in Bristol who took to the internet in 2020 due to Lockdown, and achieved remarkable success. In her first year online, she amassed over a million followers across Instagram and TikTok, and now boasts a large following of three hundred and twenty-one thousand followers on Instagram, eight hundred and twelve followers (with over nineteen million likes across videos) on TikTok and and two hundred and sixty-three thousand subscribers on YouTube. Abi was named as one of the eleven comedy stars of the internet by The Independent, and has had her viral sketches shared by the likes of ENews, Buzzfeed, LadBible, Good Morning Britain, and BBC One. Fans of her online work include Russell Howard, Katherine Ryan, Patton Oswalt, SNL writer Mike DiCenzo, SNL main cast member Chloe Fineman and long-time director of Family Guy and creator of Phineas and Ferb, Dan Povenmire.
First and foremost a stand-up, Abi has made swift progress on the circuit and now performs at some of the UK’s most prestigious comedy clubs and has recently supported the likes of Russell Kane and Russell Howard around the UK.
HEADLINER DAVE THOMPSON
Dave has performed his stand-up comedy act in forty-four countries and four cruise ships. Known for his one-liners and absurd persona, Dave has written material for many other comics, including Harry Hill, Ronnie Corbett, Bruce Forsyth, Jim Tavare, Ben Elton, Phil Nichol, Omid Djalili, Stewart Lee, Tony Law, and John Moloney. He's best-known for having been the actor in the Tinky Winky costume in the world famous TV show 'Teletubbies’.
Dave has done five feature films. ‘Maybe Baby’, written and directed by Ben Elton, ‘I Want Candy’, directed by Stephen Surgit, ‘Huge’, directed by Ben Miller, and 'Harry Hill – The Movie’. His fifth feature film is a Hollywood production, filmed in 2021. Due to a non disclosure agreement, he can’t say the title until after the release. He’s in two episodes of ’The Last Kingdom’ season five, on Netflix. Dave’s 12th TV commercial in which he has a starring role, is currently being transmitted across Europe.

ALEX KITSON
is an “on the money funny” award-winning stand-up comedian, performer and writer. New on the comedy scene in 2018 he has performed across the UK, written for both the BBC (‘Incredible... So clever’ - BBC Radio Bristol) and online content with millions of views. He has been on bills alongside Russell Howard, Jon Richardson, Nish Kumar, Seann Walsh, Rosie Jones, Mark Watson, Fin Taylor and Jayde Adams among many others and reached the final of First Laugh 2020, New UK Online Comedian of the Year 2020, and the top 12 of Jason Manford’s New Act Competition in 2019. He also performed in two five star runs at the Edinburgh Fringe with the Bristol Revunions (‘The entire ensemble is hilarious. Properly, effortlessly, hilarious’ - EdFringe Review). In 2021 after the pandemic he took his first hour of stand-up around the country to critical acclaim in Southampton, Brighton, Exeter, Bath and Bristol. Culminating in a sell-out show in Bristol and winning the Bath Comedy Festival Award for Best Joke 2021. He also hosts and runs ‘This Next Act’ a series of weekly comedy nights in Central Bristol, and is the resident MC of several other comedy clubs and nights around the South West.”
