Cabarats & Jolly Roger - Balkan Swing, Reggae, Ska, Circus Dub and Pirates!

  • Old Bakery Studios Malpas Road Truro, England, TR1 (map)

Pirate Folk Mayhem Followed By Balkan Swing, Ska, Reggae, Circus Dub.......Now That's What We Call A Night Out - Party!!

Last seen supporting The Undercover Hippy, the Cabarats blew us away with their eclectic mix of Balkan Swing, Reggae and Ska beats, a veritable melting pot of groovy world vibes.

They are supported on this date by grass roots folk punk pirates, Jolly Roger. Once again a band that have earned their stripes here at Old Bakery Studios supporting Flats and Sharps.

The Cabarats bring a new musical experience to the global underground, combining traditional Balkan and Middle Eastern sounds with lively reggae and ska. Using a collection of intriguing instruments such as accordion, oud, keyboard and brass, the band have dazzled a wide range of audiences from festival crowds and stages at iconic venues to private functions and community events. After the successful release of their debut album 'Out of the Bag', the last two years have been an exciting journey for the rats. The band appeared on one of the main stages at Boomtown Fair and gained the attention of BBC Introducing, performing on their stage at Looe Saves the Day.

'JollyRoger, like Ferocious Dog, are grass root folk punk band doing it the hard way but doing it the right way. They get the crowd going with them on stage and know their craft so well - big up to JollyRoger' - Red Ken (Ferocious Dog)
